Accessibility at Bonnie & Wild

Bonnie & Wild Accessibility Guide

Bonnie & Wild’s Scottish Marketplace is a welcoming and easily accessible food hall on Level 4 of the St James Quarter in Edinburgh. It is a beautiful, spacious and welcoming Food Hall that shows off the best of Scottish food and drink. Within, you will find an unrivalled food and drink offering from a wide range of restaurants, bars and specialty retailers!

Our venue is almost entirely level. There are two steps up to the corridor that houses the ladies and gents toilets. For those guests with mobility access issues, we have two disabled toilets on either side of this area. Both are clearly signposted: one can be found between Joelato and our Dookit bar; the other round the corner from Leith Woks.

Free water stations are positioned throughout our venue.  They can be found between Creel Caught and Salt & Chilli Oriental; in front of Soup & Caboodle, near our main Hauf & Howff bar; and between the Dookit Bar and Leith Woks.

Our staff undertake training on accessibility and guests with additional needs. Our trained staff will welcome you at the door. Please make any access issues or other concerns known to them, or contact us in advance of your visit. We want to ensure all our guests have a first-class experience and will do all we can to support them.

All our managers have completed the Emergency First Aid at Work course; as have the majority of our supervisors.

We do not permit dogs within our venue, with the exception of guide dogs. As we are an indoor venue we do not have anywhere that your dogs may exercise. All well behaved dogs are welcome at our external galleria seating area in front of our Illy Caffe.

Food and drink are ordered from the bars and food stalls themselves. If required, our Front of House staff will be delighted to support you with table service.

All our internal AV signage is subtitled, and all the menus and allergen information is available online. We provide free wifi throughout the venue (sign-up required).

For accessing St James Quarter, if coming by car the centre itself has plenty of space, including 80 blue badge spaces plus a dedicated guest mobility service.

If coming by public transport, we are across the road from Waverley Train Station (cross Princes Street and enter St James Quarter at Register Square then come up to Level 4 by lift or escalator). If travelling by tram we are close to the Tram Terminus on George Street and the Tram Stop at St Andrews Square (just pop down Multrees Walk to enter St James Quarter). There are several bus stops nearby for easy access to St James Quarter.

Several lifts provide access to Level 4 from all levels.
