The Dookit
The Dookit is Bonnie & Wild’s second bar and one of our locations for exciting pop-ups.
Dookit /dook’ t/ (Scot) n a dovecoot; a small space.
Small, but perfectly formed, The Dookit offers guests an extensive selection of beers, ciders, malt whiskies, craft gins, curated wines and soft drinks.
The beautiful and versatile L-shaped bar is popular during our busy hours, but it also serves as the perfect location for our series of exciting pop-ups and bar takeovers, as well as events such as our very own Cocktail Masterclasses.
Isle of Raasay Distllery made the space their own when they turned this corner of Bonnie & Wild into a Hebridean haven, with images of the beautiful island adorning the walls while bar staff poured a series of sensational cocktails designed around Isle of Raasay Single Malt Scotch Whisky and their equally popular Isle of Raasay Gin.
And during the school holidays we welcomed Chulo's Stuffed Cookies to run a pop-up and serve up their super popular (and very Instagrammable) treats from the bar-turned-bakery counter - massively popular with cookie lovers of all ages!
We've also hosted The Botanist and local bakery Kilted Donut as well as Gary Maclean's Oyster and Champagne Bar for the Edinburgh Seafood Festival.
With a programme of pop-ups and takeovers planned, alongside our popular Cocktail Masterclasses, the Dookit is a versatile space that offers huge potential to small, local businesses seeking to expand their market into the St James Quarter, while also providing our guests with another reason to visit Bonnie & Wild alongside our amazing restaurants, retailers and street food kitchens!
