Marketplace chefs unveil their Mother’s Day menu specials
We’re feeling pretty excited about the lunch and dinner menu specials being put on at Bonnie & Wild for this coming Mother’s Day weekend! From Creel Caught to Joelato to our beautiful bars, you need to get along to our Scottish Marketplace!
One of the most amazing things about Bonnie & Wild’s Scottish Marketplace is the sheer variety of food on offer. That offer gets even better when we’ve different chefs flexing their cooking mussels (sorry!) and updating their seasonal menus or putting on specials for various events. So we’re pretty excited that a healthy serving of chefs at Bonnie & Wild will be heaping on the special lunch and dinner menus during the Mother’s Day weekend of March 26-March 27.
Over the weekend, and coinciding with the brilliant #EatOutEdinburgh campaign, guests to Bonnie & Wild will be able to enjoy specials from Broken Clock, The Gannet East, Creel Caught, and Joelato. These treats (see below for details) will of course sit alongside their usual menus, as well as the delicious options from CHIX, Salt & Chilli Oriental, Erpingham House, El Perro Negro and east PIZZAS. And don’t forget our boutique bottleshop if you’re wanting to pick up a bottle of celebratory wine, gin or whisky!
We’ll also be announcing the results of our Mother’s Day competition - one lucky subscriber will be winning a VIP meal for six in our private dining room, with two runners-up each securing £50 vouchers for themselves. To take part all you need to do is subscribe to our newsletter.
So what’s on the plate for Mother’s Day?
For the mains, both Gary Maclean’s Creel Caught and The Gannet East will be offering their own specials. Creel Caught will be adding a mouth-watering Thai fishcake, pictured, while Gannet chef John Munro will be serving up Brioche Glazed Chicken, Hen of the Woods and Jersey Royals.
Meanwhile, Broken Clock will of course have their usual works of edible art, while Joelato’s Mother’s Day special is strictly over-18s … and rightly so! Their Gin & Botanicals gelato concoction is a lemon sorbet infused with the botanicals used in Daffy's gin. For an extra kick, they’ve even added a splash of Daffy’s gin! Of course if you want to go all out and accompany your gin sorbet with a G&T, we have Daffy’s pouring in the bar!
Also on the bar, we’ll have a few cocktails and mocktails including at least one beautiful Prosecco creation!
