Prize Catch: Everything we’re doing for Edinburgh Seafood Festival
It’s the Edinburgh Seafood Festival this weekend and Bonnie & Wild has wave after wave of exciting specials for brunch, lunch, dinner and drinks, plus a fabulous cook-off between six of the Bonnie & Wild chefs!
The Battle of the Chefs bash this Sunday will see Gary Maclean, Jimmy Lee, Nick Watkins, Ivan Stein, Suki Jayaratne and Shehan Fernando compete for the ultimate accolade of top chef in a five-course feast. We’re giving away four tickets to this sold out event over on our Instagram – check it out for your chance to win four VIP tickets.
Meanwhile, all through the ESF weekend at the St James Quarter, we’ve got a series of food specials from across out marketplace, while our bars will be slinging the thematic Hello Sailor cocktail, made using Edinburgh Gin’s Seaside Gin. And like all our cocktails (check out our new list!), we’ll have low and no alcohol options for you too. Fancy a glass of bubbly instead? We’ll be pouring PIAFF Champagne all weekend too.
But the real prize catch is the various specials on offer:
- Creel Caught are putting on a bowl of West Coast Langoustines, served in garlic butter, with triple cooked chips and garden salad; plus some surf and turf by way of an 8oz Sirloin Steak accompanied by tiger king prawns and hand-cut chips, with your choice of garlic butter or peppercorn sauce.
- Meanwhile, pancake house Stack & Still have a Chilli Glazed Salmon Stack, comprised of lemon and dill pancakes, Tobermory chilli-glazed hot smoked salmon, miso-infused ricotta, crispy shallots, pea shoots, and herb oil.
- east PIZZAS are also getting in on the action with their Smoked Salmon Pizza, with mascarpone, smoked trout, rocket, capers and lemon.
- Sweet tooth? Chulo’s have added a Ben & Jerry’s-inspired Phish Food stuffed cookie to their mesmerising menu.
And all this is on top of our various other springtime specials such as illy’s Parma Violet Latte and Parma Violet Matcha latte; El Perro Negro’s House Smash, Chooks’ Korean BBQ Chicken Burger, Kochchi’s Roast chicken Kotthu, and Soup & Caboodle’s mushroom and ragu arancini. All delicious, and probably not going to make your decision-making any easier!
All available while stocks last, so hurry along if you’re in Edinburgh city centre this weekend.
