Eat Out Edinburgh: Everything that's happening at Bonnie & Wild this March
We’re delighted to once again be supporting the Eat Out Edinburgh Campaign, a city-wide initiative to champion the amazing hospitality businesses across Edinburgh. As ever, we’ve a wild amount of events and specials going on.
For the entire month of March we have given one of our bars over to The Botanist gin, who have chosen Bonnie & Wild as the perfect location for the global launch of two new releases, their The Botanist Cask Rested Gin and Cask Aged Gin.
Within the Food Hall itself, several of the kitchens are rolling out specials for the Eat Out Edinburgh campaign. Burger champions El Perro Negro are offering a tantalising Kimchi Burger, made from a double smash patty, double cheese, marrow butter, kimchi and bulgogi mayo. And later this month Gary Maclean will be bolstering the menu at his Creel Caught restaurant, along with Scottish deli Soup & Caboodle.
For those of you fancying something a little bit lighter, the café and artisanal coffee roasters at Bonnie & Wild are also joining in the act, with Cairngorm Coffee offering Edinburgh residents a regular cup of coffee and a cookie for £5.
Our Malt of the Month is this year's Bruichladdich Organic Barley whisky.
Other events in the Scottish Marketplace include a busy programme of tastings and meet the makers at our Rarity bottle shop, where you can meet the men and women behind brands including: Edinburgh Gin this evening, Wester Rum tomorrow and Hills & Harbour on Sunday. They’ll be followed next weekend by Edinburgh Rum, Lind & Lime and Darnley’s, with tastings every weekend throughout March. (See below for the full programme. Tastings run from 12pm-5pm.)
And towards the end of the Eat Out Edinburgh campaign, we’ll be hosting our White Heather Club ceilidh on Thursday March 28. These are always popular dances with locals and city visitors alike. Everyone’s welcome and free – a perfect end to an evening eating out in Edinburgh. Click here to book.
