Kick off your Taylored Taste Trail at Bonnie & Wild this weekend
With Taylor Swift arriving in Edinburgh for a three-night stint at Murrayfield Stadium, we’re delighted to be part of the city's Taylored Taste Trail.
We’ve got a fair few fans within Bonnie & Wild's Scottish Marketplace itself, and a good number of our kitchens have now created exclusive Taylor Swift-inspired specials for this weekend as part of the Taylored Taste Trail, while our expert mixologists have rustled up a series of Taylor-made cocktails and mocktails that fans will love. Ready for it?
Within our Food Hall, we have Stack & Still, El Perro Negro, Chooks and Jimmy Lee’s Salt & Chilli Oriental all offering menu specials for Swift fans that’ll see sparks fly!
Taylor’s a self-confessed fried chicken devotee, so we couldn’t have a weekend of Swifty specials without something from our very own Chooks! They’re promising a Chi-king of my Heart menu special, offering a Sandwich of your Wildest Dreams Honey Butter Chicken Sandwich for £9.
Hong Kong Street Food from TV and TikTok chef Jimmy Lee is going to Shake it Off over the Taylor Swift Weekend with this fearless take on his popular Salt & Chilli Fries. Made with Salt & Chilli’s epic Crispy Shredded Chicken, with added chips, peppers, onions and Katsu curry sauce. Just add your delicate spice mix to taste and Shake it Off! £12.
Award-winning El Perro Negro have pulled out all the stops and will be doing an OTT burger called Death By A Thousand Calories!! This triple cheeseburger (yes, triple!) is served along with triple cheese, marrow butter, double bacon, house pickles and BBQ sauce. Wow. Probably the best burger you’ll ever have in your life! And all for £13.50.
Never missing an excuse to put on a delectable special, Bonnie & Wild’s Scottish seafood restaurant Creel Caught will be joining the Taylor Swift celebrations with this special seafood paella. Enjoy their Seafood Tayella (sorry …) for £14.95.
If you’re hankering for Taylor’s favourite pancakes, then look no further than Stack & Still. They’ve uncovered Taylor’s number one pancake and will have it on sale all weekend. Taylor’s Favourite Stack is made using double buckwheat pancakes, with Ramseys of Carluke bacon, grated parmesan and fried egg. £12.50.
And all this is on top of their usual menus as well as unrivalled choice from east PIZZAS, Kochchi, Soup & Caboodle, Leith Woks and Joelato for your gelato fix!
For drinks, we’ve also got you covered. Alongside our seasonal list and a series of cocktails from our Wester pop-up (go and visit!) our bars are also pouring these three drinks...
You can go all out with Champagne Problems, made with Champagne Piaff, cherry brandy, lemon and sugar syrup (£12.95). Or Love Story made with Wester Pineapple Rum, Falernum, pine juice, lime and sugar syrup (£9). Or if you’re craving a mocktail then plump for Love Story AF, made with non-alcoholic prosecco, lemon juice and strawberry syrup. (£6)
