Our latest arrival! New kitchen Bowl Out joins Bonnie & Wild

Some exciting news from Bonnie & Wild as we reveal that the Açai bowl kitchen Bowl Out is launching this Friday, August 1st!

Offering a range of healthy and super food açai bowl options, Bowl Out is the 14th food destination in our Scottish Marketplace, joining the likes of Creel Caught, El Perro Negro, Chooks, Kochchi and Joelato.

The new Bowl Out kitchen will expand Bonnie & Wild's breakfast, lunchtime, dessert, dinner and takeaway offer, with servings of dishes including with servings of healthy dishes including açaí berry sorbet bowls, and overnight oats layered with granola, honey, fruits and coconut.

The new kitchen offer comes as our friends at Thistly Cross prepare to takeover our Dookit bar for a month-long residency that will see them slinging cider-infused cocktails - Thistly Spiritz, Thistly Collins, Dark & Thistly among others - alongside their full range of artisanal ciders, while many of the chefs within Bonnie & Wild have created cider-inspired specials for their kitchens. Expect tasty treats from Gary Maclean’s Creel Caught, Sri Lankan street food kitchen Kochchi, El Perro Negro, Chooks, Illy and Joelato.

And there’s more. On August 14th we’re hosting our official Fringe White Heather Club Ceilidh, with hundreds of dancers – plus a couple of surprise guests - expected to come along for dances including Strip the Willow, Dashing White Sergeant and Gay Gordons.

On the same evening, we’re hosting an intimate rum tasting in our private Tryst bar with East Neuk Spirits who’ll be taking guests though their range of Dorchadas rums, while on Sunday August 24th, Edinburgh bottler Fragrant Drops will be showcasing their craft whiskies. With both bottlers renowned for their craft spirits, the exclusive tastings are great opportunities for whisky and rum lovers, and complement the regular Meet the Maker events that take place every weekend at the Rarity bottle shop.
