Why not treat yourself, and opt for another stellar addition to the Double Cask range from The Macallan? The Macallan 15 Double Cask is a wonderful balance of creamy sweetness and fiery spice. This single malt spent its years in a combination of American and European oak, both of which were seasoned with Oloroso sherry. The Macallan 15 Double Cask is a well-balanced single malt whisky made by combining the ideal harmony of two oak casks into a single superb whisky.
Highland Park Cask Strength is a special edition of Highland Park's iconic, award-winning 18 Year Old, bottled at its marrying strength to intensify its characteristic cherry and chocolate notes. This cask strength bottling was distilled from a grain bill with a higher than usual proportion of peated malt. The spirit was matured predominantly in 1st-fill American and European oak casks seasoned with sherry then bottled at 64.1% abv. without chill-filtration or additional colouring.
Isle of Raasay's flagship single malt from the Isle of Raasay Distillery is lightly peated, with a fragrant balance of dark berries and delicate smoke – it's superb stuff from the young distillery. Peated and unpeated Raasay spirits are individually matured in a combination of rye whiskey, chinkapin oak, and Bordeaux red wine casks, before being married together for this exceptional dram. There's just a subtle whiff of smoke on the finish, cushioned by salted nuts, chewy butterscotch, and sweet oak char.
Sweet, juicy fruit salad, a drizzle of honey, and sugared orange peel with soft notes of grassy malt beneath, Lochlea's Our Barley is the first single malt to join the distillery's core range. Following the popularity of its Single Malt First Release, the Lochlea team set about creating this expression for all to enjoy. Matured in a combination of ex-bourbon and ex-Oloroso sherry casks, as well as shaved, toasted and re-charred barriques, the whisky was bottled up without any added colour, or chill filtration.
Kick off your World Whisky Day celebrations with Fettercairn 12. One of four new Fettercairn expressions to be launched in August 2018, the Fettercairn 12 Year Old was intended to embody the distillery’s floral and exotic fruit-driven character. It was matured in American oak bourbon casks and bottled at 40% ABV. Refreshing nectarine, white flowers and milk chocolate emerge initially. Black toffee and subtle roasted coffee provide darker notes underneath,
You've probably tried a Glenfiddich in one form or another if you're a whisky fan, but the Glenfiddich Orchard Experiment is something particularly special. It's a pioneering single malt Scotch whisky from Glenfiddich, and the first in its history to be finished in Somerset Pomona Spirit casks, born out of craft, tradition, and desire for experimentation. This innovative single malt celebrates and elevates the Glenfiddich sweet and fruity signature style. The sublime depth of Scotch whisky is complemented by the delicate sweetness of Somerset apples.
