The White Heather Club's FIRST OUTDOOR Fringe Ceilidh!

Join us for a celebration of Scottish culture as we get birling, twirling and whirling at the White Heather Club's Fringe Ceilidh!

Whether you're a local or a visitor, a regular of the Fringe or a first-time showgoer, all are warmly welcomed to the White Heather Club's Fringe Ceilidh on Thursday August 13th. And for the first time EVER, we'll be hosting it outside in St James Square in front of the W Edinburgh hotel.

Our August 13th White Heather Club ceilidh promises to be one of the Fringe's biggest open-air events, with 1000 dancers expected to "Tak the Floor"!

Music for the dance will come from the White Heather Club as Charlie Kirkpatrick and his fellow musicians take you through classic Scottish country dances such as the Dashing White Sergeant, Orcadian Strip the Willow and the Gay Gordons. And don't worry if you don't know the moves! Scottish presenter Caroline Blair will be swirling through the crowds calling out the steps and making sure everyone has a blast.

As well dancing and laughter, we'll also have a few guest appearances, plus some amazing prizes.

A night of friendship, cheer and Scottish country dancing, the White Heather Club's Fringe Ceilidh is one of Edinburgh's best nights out. Not to be missed!

The dancing starts at 7.30pm and will wind up at 9.30pm. Why not pop into Bonnie & Wild for a bite to eat or drink beforehand. Afterwards, you can come back to our Scottish Marketplace, or secure your guest pass to the W Edinburgh's exclusive afterparty.

Tickets to the White Heather Club's Fringe Ceilidh are FREE, but you are kindly invited to make a donation to the Fringe Society, or pick up a ticket to the afterparty in the W Lounge, (£15, donated to the Fringe Society, includes free drink).

A donation to the Fringe Society helps share the magic of the Fringe with more people, creating opportunities for communities across Edinburgh to enjoy unforgettable experiences and discover something new. No matter who you are or where you come from, everyone is welcome. The Fringe Society is a registered charity set up by Fringe artists to nurture and uphold inclusivity, experimentation and imagination at the Fringe. www.edfringe.com
