Battle of the Burger with Michelin chef Neil Rankin and El Perro Negro’s Nick Watkins
Join us for an interactive evening of cooking and burger-tastic tasting in our demo kitchen with a selection of burgers, tacos, sausages and nduja on the menu.
Neil is a Michelin trained chef, author and meat and bbq expert who founded Temper Restaurants in London, smokehouse pubs and was the head chef of the famed Pitt cue in Soho. He is now the owner of a plant based food business Symplicity which uses well sourced fermented vegetables as a base and he sells these products to some of the country’s best restaurants and chefs including Tom Kerridge and Gordon Ramsay.
Symplicity is an analog food company using sustainably sourced plants and craft cooking techniques over industrial processing. Neil and the team make an incredible range of plant-based DIY products made from fermented vegetables, packed with flavour. The ethos of this plant-based food company perfectly align with the MacDuff ethos of locally sourced, sustainable produce and we are proud to have it available to buy from our counter.
Neil will be joined Nick Watkins in the kitchen for the evening, owner of El Perro Negro, Glasgow, which was awarded home of the UK's Best Burger in 2019.
Symplicity’s products will also be available to buy from our butcher MacDuff.
