A Bonnie Burns
Burns is always a big deal at Bonnie & Wild, and we’re massively excited for our Big Burns Ceilidh on Thursday 29th when you can expect whisky, haggis, bagpipes, dancing and heaps of good cheer.
Alongside Scotland’s best ceilidh night, we’ve also got a feast of specials from across our marketplace to celebrate Burns and his passion for food and drink:
- East PIZZAS: Burns night pizza with black pudding, haggis and 'nduja
- CHOOKS: Chicken Thigh Burger, with a slice of haggis, double cheese, pickles, and black pepper garlic mayo
- Chulo’s: Tunnock’s Stuffed Cookie
- El Perro Negro: The Scotsman Burger - Juicy double smash patties with house pickles, burger sauce, smoked cheddar and topped off with loads of traditional Ramsay of Carluke haggis.
- Creel Caught: Salmon and smoked haddock fishcakes with a rocket salad
- Kochchi: Haggis Kotthu blending Sri Lankan street food with traditional Scottish fare
- Joelato: Shortbread and Whisky Caramel Gelato
- Soup & Caboodle: Haggis Scotch Eggs
- Illy Caffe: Cranachan Coffee/Matcha with raspberry honey syrup, oat milk and raspberry oat foam, topped with toasted oats
And on our bars will be slinging out their Ae Fond Kiss Rabbie Burns Cocktail, made with Famous Grouse whisky, Lucky Liqueurs White Cacao, pomegranate syrup and egg white.
On Sunday 25th, Burns Night itself, we’re hosting Kingdom Scotland for “A Scent of Scotland”. This intimate tasting will explore the Kingdom Scotland range of fragrances alongside a curated flight of exceptional Scottish single malt whiskies, led by whisky expert Moa Reynolds (@swedishwhiskygirl) and Kindom’s Sophie Russell.
Also on Sunday, the Rarity Bottleshop is hosting a Meet the Maker with Glencadam and Tomintoul whiskies, so plenty to tempt you to Bonnie & Wild over the next week or so. Just don't end up like Tam O'Shanter with his long-suffering wife Kate "nursing her wrath!"
And finally we've our Burns White Heather Club Ceilidh on Thursday 29th. Expect whisky, bagpipes, tartan, prizes, haggis and dancing!
