Slow Food 'Meat-Up' with MacDuff Butcher

We are very excited to host this slow-cooking masterclass with Slow Food Edinburgh and our very own MacDuff Butcher. This will be an evening of three delicious tastings cooked up by Steven Brown, Chef at Slow Food Edinburgh, part of the global movement to promote a fairer food culture.

With a focus on seasonality and sourcing, Stephen will be preparing a range of dishes and desligts, including a Longhills Portland rare breed hogget from Ayr, a beautifully slow-grown full flavoured meat. We’ll also have a tasting from Peelham farm, an organic meat and charcuterie farm on the east coast. We’ll reveal the surprise third product nearer the event!

Chef Steve's true passion for food was ignited, working for fellow Chef Alliance member Neil Forbes at Edinburgh's Atrium restaurant. Stints in Germany, France, London & New York have all fuelled Steve's love for food. Steve returned to his native Scotland with his young family in 2017, setting up his business, Pop, which aims to educate and inspire cooks of all ages and abilities in their homes, school and places of work as well as many pop-ups in unusual locations across the region.

A must for meat-lovers!
